We went to San Francisco for a follow up visit with our star radiation oncologist. The doctor reports that all looks good and released us to the world.
Third leg of the treatment stool is finished. Patient is good and healing. Appetite is back, color in her cheeks, a little bounce in the step. A glass of wine with dinner, desert for sure!
We are excited to be out and about again. She’s back on the tennis court with her usual ferocity and no doubt will start running/hiking/boating/camping and fishing. Well maybe I got carried away with the camping part.
It’s time for our family to live in peace with good caring and nurturing friends and family.
We learned a lot about ourselves and others throughout this process. Many stepped up, some fell away. We are different. We are focused on a calm existence. We appreciate the simple things not the material things. Less not more.
We will make choices out of good feelings not obligation.
Health is a gift and not to be taken for granted for a moment.
Many thanks and much love for all of you who read BrooksideBuzz, stepped up for us when we needed help, just called to say we are thinking of you, sent food when it was not expected, took Finally Five out for a playdate, just were there.
That’s all that we really needed, just to know that you were there and communicating and praying for the end of this medical journey.Hugs to all. Over and out.
